Originally the Leading Jewelry Manufacturing Co., Ledo was founded by the Italian goldsmith Ralph Polcini in 1911 in Mamaroneck, New York. The company was based out of New York City and known for its costume jewelry paired with the highest-quality craftsmanship.
Characterized by gold-plated metals with elaborate hand-set and high-quality rhinestone designs, Ledo pieces are exquisite examples of Art Deco. Each piece is stunning and feminine with meticulously crafted metalwork fit for Daisy Buchanan herself.
The Ledo company was passed down to Ralph's son, Daman, who changed the name to Polcini in 1960. Polcini ended all operations in the 1980s, but to this day, collectors and jewelry enthusiasts alike look for the cursive "By Ledo" hallmark.BACK TO SHOP

Loop Links Necklace Set With Clear Paste In Rhodium, Circa 1950
A 15 1/2" continuous line of loop links makes this necklace a true Polcini (Ledo) piece. Showcasing the designer's craftsmanship with clear paste in rhodium all along the loops, the piece is undeniably exquisite. Feminine in style, but equally as flirty makes this piece a true 1950's gem.
The necklace is in very good condition, with only minor signs of wear. It is American made with a unique chain, box clasp, and a "LEDO" hallmark.
