14K Gold, Coral & Diamond Earrings, Circa 1960

These earrings are circa 1960, but coral has been fashionable since its discovery. In particular, Victorians loved coral so much that most family portraits from the era showcase coral jewelry in some way. On top of its glamorous look, coral is thought to have protective powers and long has been favored by those of prestige. These earrings are truly fit for the high class with their 14K yellow gold and 14K white gold, 8.48 ct free form cabochon corals, and 0.025 ct diamonds (color: H-I; clarity: I1-I2). The backings of these earrings are chic clip ons with posts to complete the classic look fit for Queen Victoria herself.

The corals have a total carat weight of 16.96 ctw, while the diamonds have an estimated 0.25 ctw. The earrings are in very good condition with a "585 14K" hallmark and minor scratches on the metal.
