Navy Blue Sodalite Cabochons set in 18K Gold Nest Earrings, Circa 1970

These 18K yellow gold estate earrings feature December's most non-traditional birthstone often called "Poet's Stone". Sodalite was first found in Greenland at the end of the 19th century. According to folklore, these 23.56 ctw oval cabochon sodalite earrings will bring writers inner peace, logic, and help with self-expression. Each stone is set in bezel with a lavish gold layered rim and is estimated at 11.78 ct. The chic clip on earrings are from the 1970's, but remain in excellent condition showing no signs of wear. Together, these earrings weigh 26.26 g and maintain a hallmark of "Franks 18K".
