Ruby, Emerald & Sapphire Paste Bracelet
From the 1930's comes this rhodium-plated metal 7-panel classic "Tutti Frutti" bracelet. Made from glass-carved ruby, emerald, and sapphire cabochons, with clear paste accents, this piece features an elaborate paste set clasp. Designed by Alfred Philippe, this bracelet was photographed in Jewels of Fantasy, Abrams Publishing, p.124, Plate 181.
This bracelet is extremely rare; others in a similar style are almost never this wide. This particular bracelet measures 7.25" x 1.25" inches. It was also featured in the 'Fashion Jewelry: The Collection of Barbara Berger' exhibition at the Museum of Art and Design in New York City. Quintessentially Art Deco, the piece also maintains the markings of Pat. Pend.
A similar version from Cartier, their 1929 Tutti Frutti Strap Bracelet, sits in the official Cartier Collection. This piece can be yours now! It remains in very good condition with only minor scratching on the metal.
